Dom Pérignon magnum “Vintage 2013” is born from the vintage alone. Only the best grapes from a single year are selected, to reveal their uniqueness. Each vintage is a unique creation, a reinterpretation of the character of each season. Faithful to its absolute demands, the House refuses to declare a vintage if it does not achieve exceptionality. After more than eight years of maturation in the cellar, Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013 embodies the House's emblematic balance - its most accomplished promise. It is the expression of fullness, harmony brought to its peak.

The nose expresses itself delicately, with nuanced, vibrant touches. The refreshing green of eucalyptus, mint and vetiver. The orange-yellow of mirabelle plum, apricot and orange blossom. The spicy brown of pepper, cardamom and licorice stick. Then, a silvery hint of iodine and toasted notes completes the aromatic palette.
On the palate, elegance prevails. The attack, both enveloping and airy, opens onto a fine, silky structure that gains in fullness. The finish, marked by subtle salinity, prolongs the experience with an impression of perfect coherence.
The Montagne de Reims
The 2013 wine year marked a return to the great late vintages. After a cold, wet winter followed by a cool, gloomy and abundantly rainy spring, the vines began their cycle almost two weeks later than the ten-year average - a gap they maintained right up to the harvest. The summer was hot and dry, with exceptional sunshine - the most intense ever recorded in Champagne - providing ideal ripening conditions for the grapes.
The dosage and blending of this cuvée remain deliberately confidential, preserving the mystery and pure expression of the year according to Dom Pérignon.
In 1668, the young Benedictine monk Dom Pierre Pérignon was appointed procurator of the Abbey of Hautvillers, high up in the Champagne region.
Having succeeded in transforming wine into champagne, he has since embodied the original and mystical character of champagne creation.
Dom Pérignon is driven by an unwavering commitment: each vintage reflects the uniqueness of its year.
With each vintage, Dom Pérignon tirelessly pursues a profound aesthetic ideal: to create and reveal the harmony of a constantly evolving nature.
Chef Marco Fadiga prepares a carpaccio of prawns to accompany this romantic, graceful, very long and, above all, legible champagne.
It's a racy champagne that's already a pleasure to drink as an appetizer.
