An exceptional vintage, Dom Ruinart Rosé sublimates the finest harvests. The year 2009, often described as “sunny”, was distinguished by an ideal summer climate that favored optimal ripening of the grapes. This rare cuvée combines finesse and elegance, thanks to a harmonious blend of Côte des Blancs Grands Crus chardonnays and a controlled touch of pinot noir, giving it an enveloping texture.

It is presented in an individual wooden box, illustrating a refined and responsible art of gift-giving.

Dom Ruinart Rosé 2009 reveals a soft pink color with raspberry highlights.

ON THE NOSE

The first nose reveals spicy notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger, mingled with the freshness of citrus fruits such as blood orange and kumquat. The second, more floral nose reveals aromas of violet and peony, complemented by fresh, iodized notes of oyster shell.

ON THE MOUTH

The attack is enveloping and silky, with notes of tangy red fruits such as pomegranate and redcurrant. The mid-palate is fluid and saline. Firm and intense, the finish is sustained by delicate bitterness and fine effervescence.

Terroirs

Montagne de Reims,
Côte des Blancs

In 2009, hail, rain and wind hit during flowering, but were soon replaced by a dry summer. These summer conditions enabled the grapes to ripen perfectly right up to the mid-September harvest. The average amount of sunshine, combined with cool temperatures, fleshed out the fruit's aromas, while preserving the right amount of acidity sought by the Maison.

About this house

Ruinart was founded on September 1, 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart. His uncle, Dom Thierry Ruinart, a learned Benedictine monk, had an intuition about this new "sparkling wine" from his native Champagne region...

The creation of Ruinart coincided with the birth of the French art de vivre. A genuine culture of goodness and beauty was born, with a focus on fine, elegant, delicate and rare tastes.

Driven by a constant quest for excellence and perfection, Ruinart has made the unique choice of chardonnay, a rare and fragile grape variety, the common thread running through all its cuvées.
