The Structure

Harmonious balance between the various components of acidity.

Supple, easy-drinking champagne, the acidity doesn't clash with the palate.

Generous champagne with great intensity.

Long on the palate

Champagne aromas linger on the palate.

Beautiful pale golden yellow color with light green highlights, bright and luminous, with active effervescence and persistent release.

The first nose is very intense, with notes of fresh fruit, particularly ripe citrus. The second nose is very fine and floral, with notes of flowers and white fruit (white peach).

A supple, harmonious attack on the palate, with plenty of roundness. Vinosity without excess, supported by superb freshness. Notes of nectarine, citrus and a lovely minerality on the long, refreshing finish.

A strong majority of Premiers Crus from Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims for aromatic finesse, complemented by Sézannais wines known for their roundness. Finally, a few wines from the northern Vesle valley add a touch of freshness and lightness.

About this house

Ruinart was founded on September 1, 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart. His uncle, Dom Thierry Ruinart, a learned Benedictine monk, had an intuition about this new "sparkling wine" from his native Champagne region...

The creation of Ruinart coincided with the birth of the French art de vivre. A genuine culture of goodness and beauty was born, with a focus on fine, elegant, delicate and rare tastes.

Driven by a constant quest for excellence and perfection, Ruinart has made the unique choice of chardonnay, a rare and fragile grape variety, the common thread running through all its cuvées.
