Tasting
To the eye, the robe is adorned with orange reflections. It is enlivened by beautiful bubbles that feed a magnificent cordon. The whole is fresh and appetizing.
On the nose, we immediately enjoy deep aromas of cherry and blood orange. Then the delicacy of dried flowers on a cookie background adds complexity. This expression lasts over time.
On the palate, a fresh attack introduces a vinous sensation. The effervescence melts into the body of the wine, revealing its structure. The finish is warm, firm and mineral.

Terroirs
Verzenay - Mailly en Champagne, Sillery, Verzy, Bassuet, Vavray, St Lumier
A terroir rich in chalky soil, with great minerality. Light sun exposure, mostly at the end of the day.
This terroir is excellent for wines of this blend, with a high proportion of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
About this house
Welcome to Verzenay, a small village on the Montagne de Reims in the heart of Champagne's Grand Cru terroirs, and home to the House of Louis Dousset. Since 1844, our family has taken great care to work our vines, in the heart of each plot, at the foot of each vine. Respectful of the terroir and the plant, our estate is committed to working the land and the vines by striking the right balance between ancestral methods and new technologies. The main principles of biodynamic viticulture are combined with sustainable viticulture to work the vines andproduce our Champagnes.
