75cl
7 is recognized as the perfect number. Charles Heidsieck's Champagne Blanc des Millénaires symbolizes unity, fullness and completion. It breaks down the week, the rainbow, the quarters of the moon and many references in the great religions and philosophies. There are seven cardinal virtues, like seven deadly sins, seven wise men and seven wonders of the world... It's an initiatory number, a sign of balance between earth and heaven: an alliance of opposites that creates perfection.
CUVÉES FROM MAISON CHARLES HEIDSIECK
To the eye
A pale gold color with light green highlights, in contrast to the previous vintage.
On the nose
The chalky minerality of the Côte des Blancs is omnipresent. Notes of toast and smoke. Hints of grapefruit, yuzu and quince add exceptional vivacity to this delicate nose.
On the palate
A chiselled, sharp identity reminiscent of the 2004 vintage in its early days. The enveloping texture follows, with accents of lemon meringue pie and subtle saline notes. A silky, dynamic sensation, perfectly structured with a long, round finish.
This atypical vintage, so well suited to Chardonnay, has a bright future ahead of it: Charles Heidsieck has chosen it as the 7th cuvée of a Blanc des Millénaires radically different from its 2006 predecessor.
For while each cuvée is the exclusive product of great Chardonnays exceptional for their incomparable texture, aromatic complexity and ripening capacity, each will develop its own personality, linked to the organoleptic profile of its year of birth.
The House of an elegant gentleman entrepreneur, determined to reinvent himself A taste for excellence, boldness and witty elegance - this daring, very French harmony is the hallmark of Charles-Camille Heidsieck himself, the "aupanache" founder of his House. At the age of 29, Charles-Camille Heidsieck founded his own Champagne House. Pragmatic, he concentrated on the wine-making and maturing processes. In 1852, Charles Heidsieck left for America. The man knew how to make a place for himself in the very closed circle of American elites. Much appreciated, he even earned the nickname " Champagne Charlie".
Chef JEAN-DENIS RIEUBLAND.
"Bringing the highest level of gastronomy to Royal Champagne, preserving French savoir-faire while infusing a contemporary touch, and constantly honoring the noblest products."
With their shared ambition for excellence, Meilleur Ouvrier de France chef Jean-Denis Rieubland and Maison Charles Heidsieck cellar master Cyril Brun had no trouble putting together magnificent food & champagne combinations in an exceptional signature menu. The finesse of the modern dishes combines perfectly with the bold spirit of the Champagne house, "l'Esprit Charles", embodied in every Charles Heidsieck cuvée.
