Terroir-Champagne-Ruinart

Terroirs

Cuvée Les Vignes Goisses Rosé 2020 is rooted in an old plot planted in 1965, located in the locality of "Les Vignes Goisses" in Verzy. This terroir benefits from ideal exposure and deep chalky soils, typical of the Montagne de Reims. The fine, porous Campanian chalk plays an essential role: it regulates water, restoring freshness even in dry periods, and imbuing the wine with its characteristic mineral tension.

The temperate climate, with its wide temperature range, allows Pinot Noir, the unique grape variety of this cuvée, to fully express its aromas of red berries, while preserving its natural lively acidity. The terroir gives this cuvée elegance, precision and freshness, while highlighting a chalky, straightforward, persistent palate, the signature of this living, demanding soil.
