This characterful rosé, from an old Grand Cru vineyard in Verzy planted in 1965, reveals all the power and elegance of Pinot Noir. Aged in barrel and vinified without artifice, Les Vignes Goisses Rosé 2020 captivates with its freshness, minerality, and intense notes of red berries.
A precise and expressive cuvée, at the crossroads of tradition and the authenticity of the terroir.
Expressive, open nose, characteristic of this vine: wild strawberry! Elegant woodiness and purity of aroma. Fresh, elegant and floral on the palate, with hints of red berries, blackberry jelly and quinine, and a chalky finish. It's the minerality that brings out the fruit in this cuvée
Cuvée Les Vignes Goisses Rosé 2020 is rooted in an old plot planted in 1965, located in the locality of "Les Vignes Goisses" in Verzy. This terroir benefits from ideal exposure and deep chalky soils, typical of the Montagne de Reims. The fine, porous Campanian chalk plays an essential role: it regulates water, restoring freshness even in dry periods, and imbuing the wine with its characteristic mineral tension.
The temperate climate, with its wide temperature range, allows Pinot Noir, the unique grape variety of this cuvée, to fully express its aromas of red berries, while preserving its natural lively acidity. The terroir gives this cuvée elegance, precision and freshness, while highlighting a chalky, straightforward, persistent palate, the signature of this living, demanding soil.
Founded in 1946 in Verzenay, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, Champagne Vignon cultivates 6.7 hectares of Grand Cru on chalky soils. It favors sustainable viticulture and artisanal ageing, with little intervention to reveal the pure expression of terroir. Specializing in Pinot Noir, Vignon offers elegant, precise and authentic champagnes, a faithful reflection of their exceptional terroir.
