What a nose! Rich, powerful and complex. You can detect aromas of damp earth, button mushrooms, pear, citrus and delicate roasted notes. On the palate, it's expansive, with a slightly creamy mid-palate and a long, saline finish with hints of coffee and crème fraîche. A real thunderbolt.
Their terroirs are mainly located in Mesnil (50%), Oger (43.5%), and Avize (6.5%).
In paying tribute to their ancestors through the choice of name, they also wanted to celebrate the feminine presence already well established in their home. Perhaps they were influenced by the name of their street, Margot, which inevitably recalls a certain great Queen. It's possible, even probable. For in their family, symbolism has held a special place for several generations. In 1986, his father Bernard entrusted him with the keys to the winery. At the time, Didier Dzieciuck was 21 years old and had trained in Gionges, at a renowned school. More specifically, an internship with a fellow winemaker opened his eyes to the pleasure of working in the cellar. It was with this knowledge that he gradually laid the foundations of the Champenoisewinemaking method. And he'd be delighted to return to them, to refine them or challenge them, as his passion for winemaking develops through experimentation.
The Caserne Chanzy invites visitors and residents of Reims to dine at the restaurant La Grande Georgette. The name was inspired by a tradition dating back to the 1920s: naming a large establishment after the wife of the barracks captain.
