What an extraordinary privilege it was to witness the filming of Champagne Problems in the heart of our Champagne vineyards! The majestic Château de Taissy, a 17th-century architectural gem, was transformed into a vibrant movie set, welcoming a hundred or so enthusiasts of the 7th art for this U.S.A. production.
Our exceptional terroir lent its most beautiful settings to this unique production. You'll discover
- Château de Taissy, proudly associated with Champagne Virginie T
- The prestigious Avenue de Champagne in Épernay, true capital of champagne
- The sublime vineyards stretching between Rethel and Vouziers
The magic of cinema unfolded mainly under the Champagne stars! For ten days, the team orchestrated a meticulous nocturnal ballet. In Épernay, the famous avenue de Champagne was even transformed, temporarily changing its traffic flow in front of number 79 to accommodate the cameras.
The Champagne nights provided a striking natural backdrop for the atmospheric scenes. Until December 13, our region was abuzz with activity, with filming stretching from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., perfectly capturing the festive atmosphere of Christmas.
This production bears the unique signature of an exceptional Franco-American collaboration. Mark Stevenson Johnson, master of romantic comedies, directs this international adventure, enhanced by the talent of actress Minka Kelly. Through their eyes, our Champagne region reveals a new facet of its magic, creating a perfect symbiosis between the champagne film actor and the enchanting landscape!
