Tasting

Appearance: The bubbles are extremely fine. Nose: Evokes notes of citrus fruits, pastries and brioche. Palate: Intense and full-bodied, with a delicate mineral edge and a very long, vibrant finish.

This is a Champagne from a vintage that produces rich, harmonious wines. Once again this year, Cuvée 745 will be one of the finest non-vintage Bruts in the entire Champagne region.

2018, our harvest in Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers (68 per cent), Avize and Oiry (32 per cent): the winter was exceptionally wet and the spring mild and stormy. The weather changed from June onwards, becoming fine and dry, resulting in a particularly early harvest: we began picking on 30 August and finished on 11 September. The grapes were in perfect condition, and the harvest was abundant, with excellent ripeness and moderate acidity. The resulting wines are particularly fine and elegant.

About this estate

Maison Jacquesson is a small, up-and-coming company! Its vineyards, comprising Grands Crus and 1ers Crus, are meticulously tended (most are organically farmed) in the pursuit of excellence. Its cuvées highlight a specific terroir, hence the presence of numerous single-vineyard cuvées. The Cuvées 700, on the other hand, are the only ones produced by blending, and each reflects a specific vintage. Each Cuvée 700 is therefore different from the previous one – a highly original concept in Champagne! These Cuvées 700 are available as classic cuvées or as cuvées disgorged at a later stage, giving them incredible ageing potential. Tasting both versions of Cuvée 700 is an unforgettable experience!

With their shared ambition for excellence, Meilleur Ouvrier de France chef Jean-Denis Rieubland and Maison Charles Heidsieck cellar master Cyril Brun had no trouble creating magnificent food and champagne pairings in an exceptional signature menu.
