On tasting, Deutz Blanc de Blancs 2019 reveals a pale color with golden highlights, enlivened by fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is delicate, with notes of white flowers, candied lemon and yellow-fleshed fruit. On the palate, the attack is lively, carried by a fine mineral tension. The texture is silky, balanced between freshness, finesse and complexity, with a long, elegant finish of ripe citrus fruit and light brioche. A precise champagne, perfect as an aperitif or with refined dishes.
Côte des Blancs
This cuvée draws its uniqueness from the exceptional terroirs of the Côte des Blancs. The Chardonnays used to make it come mainly from Grand Cru villages such as Avize, Oger and Chouilly, as well as Premier Cru Villers-Marmery. These chalky soils, typical of the region, give the wine its tension, finesse and minerality. The altitude, exposure and expertise of local winemakers all contribute to the pure, elegant expression of this vintage Blanc de Blancs.
Champagne Deutz was created in 1838 in Ay by two Prussian emigrants, William Deutz and Peirre-Hubert Geldermann. They developed the estate by purchasing high-quality vines. The current president, Fabrice Rosset, manages the estate and the House with the same rigor for excellence as his illustrious predecessors.
Passion for excellence is the guiding principle behind the decisions that build the House Deutz, which is not just a Champagne brand, but a true Champagne identity throughout the world.
To mark the launch of Champagne "Amour de Deutz rosé 2006", three-starred chef Patrick Bertron and the teams at Relais Bernard Loiseau are offering a gastronomic meal, including a Milk Chocolate and Blackberry Royal, a bar filled with bramble honey caramel and pecan nuts to accompany and highlight this incredible cuvée.
