La Maison Ruinart won three awards for its Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs2010 at the 9th Championnat du Monde de Champagne et de Vins Mousseux. In particular, it was awarded the title of Supreme World Champion, as well as Best Champagne and Best French Sparkling Wine. The blend is composed entirely of Chardonnay grapes from Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs and the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims. This wine is the result of a difficult growing season and a major change in the corking process.
Journalist, writer and critic Tom Stevenson created the World Champagne and Sparkling Wine Championships in 2014 to recognize the world's most outstanding sparkling wines. The competition publishes an annual guide showcasing the best champagnes and sparkling wines to guide consumers and industry professionals.
The top prize for 2021 was awarded to Dom Ruinart Rosé 2004 in magnum. The competition jury, which includes renowned wine specialists such as Tom Stevenson, Essi Avellan and George Markus, conducts blind tastings.
