Comtes de Champagne Rosé 2008
The perfect alliance between concentration and freshness

The Comtes de Champagne Rosé draws its nobility from the long ageing in cellars from which it benefits. During all these years, this wine with a pure and demanding composition, will refine its matter to reach a silky and tasty balance, until it becomes totally melted in a multitude of particles of small red fruits slightly roasted. A marvel that knows how to slip into a singular dish such as a pigeon that is still pink, thanks to its balance between freshness and structure.

Comtes de Champagne Millésimes de Légende

A Comtes de Champagne TAITTINGER is rare. The criteria chosen for its elaboration exclude a large-scale production.

Since the first vintage in 1952, only 48 vintages have been produced. The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs and Rosé are exceptional wines for ageing, which pass the time without betraying the qualities of their temporal and territorial origins. Among them, some have become legends and can only be tasted by listening to those who have tasted them

1952 - Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs

First vintage of Comtes de Champagne to be released. After two mediocre harvests, 1952 was a miracle year. It was as if, in order to make amends, nature gave back what it had kept. The quality is particularly remarkable in the Chardonnays which have the typical character of great years: elegance, finesse and ageing potential.

1961 - Comtes de Champagne - Blanc de Blancs

Considered one of the great vintages of the century in Champagne, 1961 benefited from an ideal summer where sun and water alternated with great timing. The 1961 Comtes de Champagne is dense, mature, creamy with chocolate and truffle aromas. The unified and buttery mouthfeel lets through mentholated notes with an unreal and concentrated fruitiness.

1976 - Comtes de Champagne - Blanc de Blancs

A beautiful spring and a very hot summer, with an early harvest, gave an exceptional vintage.
The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 1976 offers a rare balance between great finesse and real body.

1979 - Comtes de Champagne - Blanc de Blancs

The 1979 Chardonnays are exceptionally powerful and aromatic. The Comtes de Champagne of this vintage is true to its style, mixing refreshing and creamy notes of citrus and butterscotch. It is as easy to drink as one could wish, with a wonderful perfume of white flowers.

1982 - Comtes de Champagne - Blanc de Blancs

A Comtes de Champagne of exuberant and euphoric richness. Under its pale and elegant color, an impressive nose reveals aromas of caramel and coffee, with notes of butter and honey. In the mouth, it is fleshy and sumptuously persistent.

1985 - Comtes de Champagne - Blanc de Blancs

More abundant than initially envisaged, the 1985 harvest delivers a remarkable quality, the Champagne having benefited from the magnificent weather of September and October. The robe is pale gold, the bouquet fine and discreetly lemony. On the palate, the elegance is surprising. Vanilla notes accompany a long and tropical sweetness.

1995 - Comtes de Champagne - Blanc de Blancs

A pale yellow color with silver reflections. Bubbles of a rare finesse. A subtle lemony and spicy bouquet exhales vegetal and floral scents of blond tobacco and tea leaves. The first flavors of fresh citrus and lime are followed by a long finish of vanilla notes. Unique and unforgettable.

1996 - Comtes de Champagne - Blanc de Blancs

The color is a very pale yellow. The bouquet is intense, expressive, particularly fine and complex. At first, the wine exhales perfumes of small white flowers mixed with beeswax, then subtle scents of lemon and fresh pineapple emerge. The attack in mouth is very lively. 1997 - Comtes de Champagne - Blanc de Blancs

A brilliant pale yellow color, subtle aromas of vanilla, acacia flowers and lemon zest. A champagne of great class which is distinguished by an excellent general balance, a very present freshness and an excellent potential of guard.

1998 - Comtes de Champagne - Blanc de Blancs

A beautiful pale yellow color with silver reflections, fine and abundant bubbles for this vintage with an intensely fine and airy nose, opening with delicate scents of white flowers and mineral aromas, accompanied by notes of fresh almonds, vanilla and a subtle touch of resinous wood. The finish is lively, long and complex. The aromas are brioche and toasted.

By combining delicacy and generous fruit with freshness and harmony, this vintage offers a magnificent potential for ageing. Its robe is a light straw yellow. The nose, very fine and airy, opens with a mixture of minerality and toastiness. It is followed by light essences of fine wood which are echoed by delicate brioche and vanilla notes. The attack on the palate is fresh and supple and gives way to a greedy mid-palate whose dominant sweetness is unctuously fruity with pink grapefruit and white peach. The finish, which is rich and long, lacks neither balance nor harmony.

Then very quickly reveals the finesse of a fruitiness dominated by mandarin and orange peel. In the background, a subtle toastiness is announced, coupled with delicate notes of fruit wood. The attack in mouth is sharp and very lively, all in freshness. The flavors are ample, unctuous and intense. The fruitiness is expressed by a tangy mix of sweet tangerine and fresh pineapple, finely stewed. The very expressive finish denotes complexity, length and energy.

2004 - Comtes de Champagne - Blanc de Blancs

The 2004 harvest is among the most abundant in the history of Champagne and of excellent quality. The Chardonnays are remarkable for their quality: balanced, complex, long, fresh and tonic. Combining finesse and aromatic intensity, the Comtes de Champagne 2004 is at once a pleasure, a promise, but even more potential. Its color is pale yellow. The nose, very pure, opens on a contrast between an already asserted intensity and a smoothness which reveals itself by aromas of pear, greengage, white flower. The intensity expresses itself with aeration by an aromatic richness and the maturity of a wine already at the expression of its potential. In the mouth, the attack is lively, dominated by flavors of candied lemon peel and fresh pineapple. The mid-palate is fresh, dominated by impressions of generosity, with notes of citrus fruit typical of grapefruit. The finish, acidulous, expresses a beautiful length.
