The house's new exceptional cuvee Gosset

Champagne'soldest wine house unveils its latest revelation: Celebris Vintage 2008 Extra Brut, an exceptional cuvée expressing the quintessential style of thechampagne brand Gosset.
Produced according to the rules of the art, this is only the 8th vintage in the Celebris Vintage range since it was launched 34 years ago.
A rarity: this edition is limited to 15,000 bottles.

A GREAT WINE BEFORE BEING A GREAT CHAMPAGNE

This is the spirit that inspired Champagne Gosset when designing the Celebris range, conceived as a veritable eulogy to time. The time to select the plots of land for a cuvée, to give it life, to let it mature in the cellar, to see the full aromatic complexity of a vintage revealed... This is how the years pass and the personality of Gosset Celebris is forged.

SCARCITY AS IDENTITY

Celebris Vintage Vintage 2008 Extra Brut is no exception to the rule: its distribution is confidential. Its uniqueness is also due to the 2008 harvest, which enabled the production and ageing of prestigious wines through a carefully orchestrated maturation process. This rarity is highlighted by the Maison's iconic Gosset bottle, with its rounded lines underlined by the elegant CG monogram.

THE MAISON GOSSET STYLE

For over four centuries now, the House of Gosset has cultivated the art of winemaking, blending and ageing great Champagne wines. Each vintage is based on a selection of terroirs deemed exceptional for the year in question. This composition enables Gosset Celebris to express the quintessence of the Gosset style: intense freshness, sublimated by the patina of a long cellaring period, gives this wine the balance required for long ageing or immediate enjoyment.

WHEN IT'S TIME TO TASTE..

Beneath its deep yellow color, illuminated by fine, abundant beading, this cuvée reveals a nose of white flowers of acacia, jasmine and mimosa. Fruity notes of pear and mirabelle plum complete the rich, heady bouquet, without compromising its finesse. On the palate, it reveals its pastry aromas: pear cake, vanilla madeleine, sponge cake, sabayon... The finish is complex, long and saline.

At the table, Celebris Vintage 2008 Extra Brut will seduce gourmets eager to share a pure moment of emotion. This vintage is the ideal companion for cheeses and meats, especially poultry and sweetbreads, or will harmoniously complement quenelles. Last but not least, it will be particularly surprising with skate or arctic char.
