A. Bergère
Les Peignottes (EN)

0,75L

The domain was founded in 1848 and offers a wonderful and broad selection of authentic champagnes with plenty of character showcasing the expert work in winemaking.

This Blanc de Blancs from Grand Cru parcels in Oger on la Côte des Blancs comes from very old vines, some going as far back as the 1920s. This is a Brut Nature champagne but the grapes were picked at perfect maturity giving this wine a rich and complex profile. A great wine.

Amazing nose with so much richness: toasted bread, caramel, ripe yellow fruits (golden apple, Mirabelle) and plenty of white flowers. This is gourmand, vinous, complex, offering beautiful amplitude and a long finish with a touch of beautiful bitterness adding freshness to the fray. Highly recommended.

Only 3,376 bottles were produced.

Terroirs

Oger - Côte des Blancs
Made from old vines dating from 1920, 1975 and 1990 and cultivated with the greatest respect for nature. The vineyards are meticulously tended to control vigor and bring out the very essence of the terroir in each vintage. Vinification and ageing take place on lees, partly in oak barrels. To preserve its distinctive qualities, our wine is deliberately unfiltered.

Chef's word

Chef Arnaud Lallement testifies:

"This Grande Cuvée tells me the story of Champagne over the last hundred and fifty years. It's a meal wine that triumphs from aperitif to dessert. As it opens, its aromas evolve. The freshness and liveliness of the beginning give way to notes of candied citrus, toasted, toasted nuances, which will enjoy the company of a capon stuffed with foie gras and mushrooms or duck with ponzu (citrus and soy reduction)."
