Sealed with a staple, as tradition dictates, this Blanc de Blancs Champagne embodies the quintessential Frerejean Frères style. Named VV26, for “Vieilles Vignes de 1926”, this singular cuvée comes from parcels in Cramant, a village classified as a Grand Cru, where some of the century-old vines still in production date back to 1926.
To the eye
Intense golden color, brilliant and deep, topped by a string of fine bubbles.
On the nose
Woody yet captivating, the nose reveals aromas of finely dried spices, accompanied by notes of cooked pear and ripe fig. Bewitching aromas of white truffle mingle with subtle notes of oxidation, bringing depth and complexity to the whole.
On the palate
Prolonged cellaring gives this wine a round, silky texture. Aromas of roasted almonds and pastry mingle with a vanilla and woody finish, all enhanced by fine effervescence and a long finish.

Plunging several meters into the limestone subsoil of the Côte des Blancs, their roots deeply capture the essence of this exceptional terroir, offering exceptional aromatic concentration, sublimated by a one-year vinification in barrel. After eight years of maturation on lees, this signature cuvée reveals the soul of a great " Puligny du Champagne ": an effervescent version whose depth and complexity rival the greatest white wines of Burgundy.
"Our founders, Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger, live between Paris and the Champagne region, with their families. They are the last-born of a line of cannon makers, who supplied the French army against Prussian attacks during the Napoleonic wars.
Our approach to champagne is different: rich in the expertise of a family team specialized in champagne, which respects traditional methods, yet is open to innovation. "
Three-star restaurant Guy Savoy is a distributor of Champagne Frerejean Frères.
