Terroirs
Côte des Blancs
Hand-harvested between September 24 and October 9, the vines faced a cold, wet winter, followed by a cool, rainy spring. The hot, very dry summer, with its exceptional amount of sunshine, enabled the grapes to finish ripening very well in early autumn.
By far the latest vintage in the last ten years, it was nonetheless a great year for Chardonnay. With its remarkable acidity and fine minerality, this great wine is a wonderful Champagne for laying down, and will improve with age in the cellar.

About this house
"Our founders, Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger, live between Paris and the Champagne region, with their families. They are the last-born of a line of cannon makers, who supplied the French army against Prussian attacks during the Napoleonic wars.
Our approach to champagne is different: rich in the expertise of a family team specialized in champagne, which respects traditional methods, yet is open to innovation. "
