The experts' opinion
Discover the note
Discover the structure of this Champagne
Harmonious balance that exists between the different components of acidity.
Soft Champagne easy to drink, the acidity does not hurt the mouth.
Generous champagne, with a great intensity.
Length in mouth
The aromas of Champagne persist in the mouth.
Coppery and bluish highlights give rise to fine rose quartz-colored bubbles.
An armful of spring flowers, tangerine, lychee and verbena alternate with accents of elderberry and sweet almond. Enhanced by black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry, cranberry), the nose is enveloping foreshadowing a remarkable potential.
The vitality of black and red fruits and citrus fruits is matched by smoky notes, star anise and violet. The precise grace of the wine then unfolds with a hint of vanilla.

Montagne de Reims
Rare Champagne breaks the codes by choosing chardonnays from the Montagne de Reims, essentially known for pinot noir, which bring an incredible precise minerality.
It also gives preference to Pinot Noirs from the Montagne de Reims, rich with a velvety intensity and a pure and silky texture.
About this house
For the centenary of the presentation of the first Piper-Heidsieck prestige cuvée to Queen Marie-Antoinette, a limited series of bottles was published in 1885: the cuvée du centenaire. Pierre-Karl Fabergé, the jeweler of Tsar Alexander III, designed the spectacular enamel decoration.
Unfortunately, the techniques of the time did not allow to execute it, the glass of the bottles being too fragile. A label faithfully reproducing the design was then affixed to the bottles of this exclusive edition. This centenary vintage prefigures Rare Champagne.
The Perfect Agreement
Between the Champagne and its dish
This champagne is a perfect accompaniment to a shellfish starter such as shrimp risotto or langoustine ceviche with radish. Our favorite: pair it with a Mozzarella di bufala.
This Rare Rosé Vintage 2008 is excellent with braised or grilled red meat such as Black Angus or pigeon casserole.
For dessert, pair this 2008 Rosé with fruit desserts such as frosted lychees, rose marzipan.
The Rare Champagne pairings promise an exceptional gastronomic experience, imagined by Michelin-starred chef Édouard Chouteau.
Following the seasons, Édouard Chouteau has created multiple food/wine pairings that perfectly match the latest vintages of Rare Champagne. A round of flavors, both delicious and refined.
The Chef has imagined for you his perfect match: a golden caviar and zucchini to accompany the Rare Vintage 2008.
