The Barons de Rothschild vintages — From elegance to rarity

The Concordia Brut — 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, dosed at 6 g/L after at least four years’ ageing — is the centrepiece: ideal as an aperitif or with poultry in a cream sauce. The Blanc de Blancs and the Rare Collection Blanc de Blancs 2013 — a late-harvest vintage vinified after a decade of ageing — perfectly complement oysters, lobster and scallops. The Rosé pairs beautifully with foie gras and red berries; the Brut Nature, with no added dosage, reveals its pure minerality when served with sushi and raw fish.

All these cuvées are best served at between 8 and 10 °C, in a tulip-shaped glass that concentrates the Chardonnay’s aromas. La Concordia is ready to drink upon release and can be cellared for three to five years. The vintage Rare Collection gains even greater complexity after several more years in the cellar, away from light.

In 2005, the three branches of the Rothschild family — Pauline (Mouton), Saskia (Lafite) and Ariane (Clarke) — pooled their legacies to create a champagne house that reflected their values. Three legacies, a shared motto engraved on every bottle: Concordia, Industria, Integritas — harmony, hard work, integrity. This triad is more than just a symbol: it underpins every decision, from the selection of the vineyards to the final blending, and lends its name to the house’s signature cuvée.

Housed in a building dating from 1874 in the heart of Reims, the winery combines architectural heritage with state-of-the-art winemaking facilities. Under the guidance of Guillaume Lété, each plot is vinified separately: reserve wines (60 per cent of the blend in the Concordia) and an exclusive selection of Grands and Premiers Crus thus form the house’s signature mineral and elegant style.
