Founded in 1851 in Reims by Charles-Camille Heidsieck, the House of Charles Heidsieck embodies a distinctively Champenois style: one characterised by complexity, depth and a fully embraced generosity. Beneath its gardens lie the legendary Gallo-Roman chalk cellars, acquired in 1867 and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015 — 8 kilometres of tunnels dug 30 metres beneath Reims, maintained at a constant temperature all year round. It is in these exceptional cellars that the reserve wines age, making up as much as 40 per cent of the Brut Réserve — the hallmark of a vinous and velvety style that is rare amongst non-vintage champagnes. Under the guidance of cellar master Cyril Brun, each blend draws on this legacy of vintages to offer unrivalled consistency and aromatic richness.
