About this house
Founded in 1584 in Aÿ, Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne still in operation. Its hallmark: cuvées with a high proportion of Chardonnay, aged at length on the lees without malolactic fermentation, preserving a freshness and tension rarely found across the Champagne landscape.
The Cuvée Suzanne Gosset pays tribute to Suzanne Gosset (1885–1970), who presided over the House from 1955 to 1965. A true visionary, she introduced the clear bottle for rosé Champagne in 1947 — a world first that remains the House's defining stylistic hallmark.
