Krug Clos du Mesnil Champagne — an iconic cuvée

The iconic vintages

Each cuvée is the result of a carefully considered blend, in which Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier interact to reveal the house’s signature style. The reserve wines, patiently aged, bring depth and consistency; the time spent on lees in the cellar refines the bubbles and brings out complex aromas of fruit, flowers and brioche notes. Discover, through the selection above, champagnes designed to accompany everything from aperitifs to the finest dining experiences — the consummate expression of a terroir and a way of life.

The company’s history and expertise

Behind every Champagne house lies a story: that of a family, a village and a deep attachment to an exceptional terroir.

Over the generations, the winegrowers have learnt to understand their plots, to respect the rhythm of the seasons and to preserve a style all their own.

This continuity — between loyalty to the traditions of Champagne and a constant quest for precision — is the true secret behind a great Champagne. It is this living heritage that the house now infuses into each of its cuvées.

Your questions about Krug champagnes

How much does a bottle of Krug champagne cost?
Krug makes only prestige cuvées. The Grande Cuvée starts at around €160, with recent Editions at around €215–225. Vintage bottlings and Krug Rosé range from €280 to €500 depending on the year, and the Clos du Mesnil costs more than €1,200 a bottle. Please check each product page for the exact price and stock availability.
What is the difference between the Grande Cuvée, the Vintage and the Clos du Mesnil?
The Grande Cuvée is Krug's signature blend: more than one hundred wines from ten or more vintages, recomposed every year and identified by an Edition number. The Vintage expresses a single great year. The Clos du Mesnil is a single-vineyard blanc de blancs from a walled chardonnay plot in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Every Krug cuvée is conceived as a prestige champagne.
Which Krug champagne should you give as a gift?
A Grande Cuvée in its gift box is the safe choice to discover the Krug style. A Krug Rosé for a rarer gift, a Vintage to mark a specific year, and the Clos du Mesnil for a truly exceptional present. Contact us for advice tailored to your budget and the occasion.
How does delivery work?
Your champagnes are dispatched in reinforced packaging, anywhere in France and across Europe. Parcel tracking is included. Delivery charges and delivery times are shown at the time of ordering.
Should Krug champagne be left to age?
Krug champagnes are ready to drink on purchase, but their long maturation gives them remarkable ageing potential — several years, even decades, in a cool, dark cellar away from vibration. Serve them at around 10–12 °C to release their full complexity.
