THE CUVÉES OF MAISON DEUTZ
A golden-rosé robe with salmon-hued highlights, threaded with bubbles of exceptional finesse. On the nose, an ethereal bouquet of wild strawberry, fresh rose and candied citrus mingles with subtle brioche and mineral notes inherited from extended ageing. On the palate, the vivacity of Chardonnay converses with the velvety generosity of Pinot Noir, leading to a long, saline finish of remarkable persistence.

A blend of Pinot Noirs from the grands crus of the Montagne de Reims — Aÿ, Verzenay, Ambonnay, Bouzy — and Chardonnays from Avize, Vertus and Villers-Marmery, completed with a measure of red wine drawn from old vines on the 'La Pelle' plot at Aÿ, lending colour and fruity depth.
Founded in 1838 at Aÿ by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann, the house of Deutz has embodied Champenois elegance in its purest expression for nearly two centuries. Independent until 1993, it joined the Deutz group whilst preserving its singular identity and its roots in the historic grand cru of Aÿ.
The house built its reputation on a winemaking philosophy grounded in precision, optimal ripeness and respect for terroir. Its range culminates with Amour de Deutz, a prestige cuvée aged for over eight years on lees in the cellars hewn beneath the town of Aÿ — a signature that embodies the quintessence of the house's expertise.
Its ethereal bubbles and elegant fruit lend themselves beautifully to delicate prawn tartlets as an opening to the meal.
The silky richness and fruity aromas of this vintage rosé pair magnificently with the unctuous softness of foie gras.
The refinement and saline length of Amour de Deutz Rosé elevates the pearlescent flesh of lobster in a gastronomic preparation.
