The dominant chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs brings a finely chiselled freshness, carried by citrus notes and a crystalline salinity.

The 2009 vintage, sun-drenched and generous, lends an enveloping, ample, and fleshy texture of rare fullness.

TASTING NOTES

Founded in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, the Maison Ruinart is the oldest Champagne house. Its hallmark variety, chardonnay, has been expressed for three centuries with a consistency and precision that have made it an absolute benchmark of champenois elegance.

Its Gallo-Roman crayères, listed as a historic monument and recognised by UNESCO, provide uniquely stable ageing conditions — constant temperature and humidity — allowing its cuvées to develop with rare serenity.
