Based in Champillon, a village perched on the Montagne de Reims overlooking Épernay, Carbon has its roots in a deep-seated family tradition. Alexandre Mea, founder of the house and a fifth-generation member of the Devavry family, has chosen to reinvent the visual identity of champagne without compromising the terroir’s exacting standards: the grapes come exclusively from Grand Cru plots, and the cuvées are left to mature for many years in the cellars before being released.

Carbon’s winemaking philosophy is based on patience: each cuvée ages slowly in the cellars of Champillon, gradually developing depth, texture and precision.
