TASTING NOTES

Pale gold in the glass with silver highlights, crowned by a fine, persistent bead. The nose is elegant and distinctive: white fruits and delicate blossom, followed by a note of fine chalk and sap that adds real depth. The palate is at once silky and taut, with a lovely tension of green apple and fresh citrus, a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut drawn from six years on lees, and a long, mineral finish with accents of graphite and candied lemon.

Terroirs

100% Chardonnay sourced from Grand Cru classified plots on the Grande Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. In 2015, a sunny late season and tightly controlled yields concentrated the aromas to yield a Blanc de Blancs of rare intensity, fermented in small oak casks and aged without malolactic fermentation to preserve every nuance of the terroir's vivacity.

About this house

Champagne Carbon was founded by Alexandre Mea, grandson of a five-generation Champenois winegrowing family (Maison Devavry). Driven by a passion for design, advanced technology and motorsport, he devoted more than four years to creating the world's most perfect bottle — encased entirely in carbon fibre — before releasing his first cuvées from the family's oldest vines.

Carbon's philosophy rests on a bold paradox: a resolutely contemporary aesthetic placed entirely at the service of centuries-old expertise. Fermentation in small oak casks, a deliberate absence of malolactic fermentation, and ageing on lees for a minimum of six years in cellar — every detail is conceived to reveal the full potential of Grand Cru plots, and each bottle presented in its signature gift case embodies a vision of luxury in which the object matters as much as what it contains.
