Aromatic profile

The structure of this champagne

Four dimensions to capture its balance
Freshness
Chardonnay from the Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs brings a mineral, citrus-driven vivacity that frames the entire blend.
Roundness
Five years on lees develop a creamy texture and generous fullness that coat the palate with silken ease.
Body
Pinot Noir from Mailly and Ambonnay lends weight and depth without ever overshadowing the elegance of the assemblage.
Length
The finish lingers on notes of fresh hazelnut and candied citrus, the hallmark of great Champagne Grand Cru terroirs.

TASTING NOTES

Terroirs

An exclusive blend of Grand Cru villages: Chardonnays from the Côte des Blancs (Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger) lend minerality and finesse, whilst Pinot Noirs from the Montagne de Reims (Mailly-Champagne, Ambonnay) contribute structure and aromatic depth.

Taittinger

About this house

Founded in 1734, Taittinger is one of the rare great Champagne houses still led by its founding family. Its 288-hectare estate — including precious parcels classified Grand Cru and Premier Cru across the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims — grants the house an independence and stylistic consistency seldom found in the region.

Under the stewardship of Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger, the house has cultivated a signature style built on elegance and finesse, with Chardonnay at its heart — expressed at its pinnacle through the Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs, one of the appellation's absolute benchmarks.

The roundness and restrained power of this Brut Grands Crus elevate the briny, pearlescent flesh of lobster to its finest.

We opened it for our New Year’s Eve dinner. Very crisp, without ever being sour. Ordered in the evening, dispatched the next day. I’d recommend it without hesitation.
