Frerejean Frères

About this house

Founded in 2005 by three brothers — Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger, heirs to a lineage linked to the Taittinger house — Frerejean Frères established itself at the heart of the Grand Cru of Avize, on the Côte des Blancs. Under the technical direction of Didier Pierson, chef de cave and fifth-generation Avize winegrower, the house crafts its cuvées exclusively from Premier Cru and Grand Cru classified plots.

The philosophy rests on extended lees ageing (5 to 12 years), minimal use of sulphites and deliberately restrained dosages. As an official partner of the Michelin Guide, Frerejean Frères has established itself as a reference in Champagne gastronomy, its cuvées celebrated by numerous Michelin-starred chefs.

The roundness and depth contributed by the Pinot Noir make an elegant companion to the earthy aromas of a morel mushroom risotto.
