THE CUVÉES OF MAISON FREREJEAN FRÈRES
The colour is a luminous golden hue, alive with fine, persistent effervescence. On the nose, a generous bouquet unfolds notes of ripe citrus, white blossom and lightly buttered brioche, enriched by hazelnut nuances drawn from the barrel ageing. On the palate, the attack is crisp and mineral, before a creamy texture and flavours of fresh almond blossom across a long, fresh, citrus-driven finish.

Sourced exclusively from the Grands Crus of Avize, Cramant and Oger at the heart of the Côte des Blancs, this Blanc de Blancs captures the very essence of Champenois Chardonnay grown on deep chalky soils. The blending of vintages and reserve wines — a portion of which is aged in former Burgundy barrels that once held Corton-Charlemagne — adds layers of complexity whilst ensuring a remarkable stylistic consistency.
Founded in 2005 by Guillaume and Rodolphe Frerejean Taittinger, Frerejean Frères has established itself within two decades as a benchmark house of the Côte des Blancs. The coat of arms bearing crossed cannons pays tribute to an ancestor who manufactured cannons for the Napoleonic armies — a symbol of precision and ambition that runs through the entire range.
Under the technical direction of Didier Pierson, a fifth-generation vigneron from Avize, all Champagnes are crafted exclusively from Premier or Grand Cru classified plots, with extended lees ageing of five to twelve years depending on the cuvée, and deliberately restrained dosages to preserve the raw expression of the terroir.
Its Extra Brut vivacity and remarkably fine bubbles make it the natural companion to golden cheese gougères, opening a meal with effortless elegance.
The chalky minerality of Avize and Cramant enters into beautiful dialogue with the briny iodine of a fully mature Breton oyster.
The creamy texture and buttery notes of the Blanc de Blancs pair with perfect precision alongside the delicacy of a sole meunière prepared with Champagne.
