About this house

Gounel-Lassalle is a 5-hectare family domaine in Premier Cru, founded in 1870 in Chigny-les-Roses. Arnaud Gounel, the fourth generation of the family, took up the reins and steered the estate towards full independence in 2018, when he left the cooperative to vinify his own cuvées in a brand-new cellar.

In 2016, his wife Sophie Lassalle joined him to build together a plot-by-plot viticulture with no dosage — a faithful expression of each of their 29 parcels. Certified HVE and Viticulture Durable en Champagne (VDC), they have practised inter-row grassing since 2007 and use no insecticides whatsoever.
