THE CUVÉES OF MAISON LECLERC BRIANT
Pale golden robe with amber highlights, fine and persistent effervescence. On the nose, an elegant palette of red raspberry, fresh pear, blood citrus and damp chalk, lifted by a gentle hint of toasted bread from five years on lees. On the palate, the texture is at once silky and taut, carried by a chiselled acidity and a calcareous minerality that extend a saline, invigorating finish.

Sourced from certified biodynamic Premier Cru vines, principally from the terroir of Chamery (Montagne de Reims), where the Senonian argilo-calcareous soils and chalks lend the Meunier its characteristic mineral precision and freshness.
Founded in 1872 in Épernay, Leclerc Briant is one of Champagne's pioneering biodynamic houses: as early as 1964, the family was experimenting with these practices across its 30 hectares of Premier and Grand Cru classified vines, making the house the largest biodynamic producer in the region at the time.
Revived in 2012 under the impetus of passionate new partners, the house has pushed its commitment even further: hand harvesting, ageing in terracotta amphorae, zero added sulphites on certain cuvées. The Blanc de Meuniers is its most audacious expression — a single grape variety, a single terroir, the truth in a glass.
The Brut Zéro vivacity and fine bubbles of this Meunier are a sublime match for Comté gougères — a classic pairing that never goes out of style.
The citrus notes and calcareous minerality of this Meunier marry beautifully with the lemony, herbaceous aromas of gravlax.
The silky texture and saline finish of the champagne enter into elegant dialogue with pan-seared scallops.
