TASTING NOTES

Pale gold in colour with luminous highlights, animated by a fine and persistent bead. On the nose, an elegant palette of white fruits — pear and ripe apple — layered with subtle buttery notes from oak ageing and a hint of brioche. The palate is taut and precise, underpinned by a lively acidity that balances the richness of the 2015 vintage; the finish is long and mineral, with a touch of fresh almond.

Terroirs

Sourced from the Kimmeridgian clays of the Côte des Bar (Aube), a terroir closer in spirit to Chablis than to Reims, lending mineral depth and character to this fifty-fifty Pinot Noir–Chardonnay blend.

Louise Brison

About this house

Champagne Louise Brison is a family house from the Côte des Bar, carried across four generations: founded at the turn of the twentieth century by Louise Brison, it was Francis Brulez who, in 1991, introduced oak barrel ageing and committed the estate exclusively to vintage-dated cuvées.

Today, his daughter Delphine Brulez continues this legacy at the helm of the estate's 15 hectares. Farming organically since 2012 (AB certification initiated in 2017), the domaine releases its vintages for tasting only after a minimum of six years' cellaring.

Aperitif
