TASTING NOTES

A luminous salmon robe with ruby highlights, shot through with a fine, persistent mousse. On the nose, wild strawberry, redcurrant and cherry interweave with spiced notes and toasted hazelnut, lifted by the characteristic mineral breath of the Grands Crus of Aÿ and Verzenay. The palate is broad and structured, marrying a remarkable depth of red fruit with the vinous freshness that is the unmistakable signature of Bollinger.

Terroirs

Drawn from over 85% Grands and Premiers Crus vineyards in Champagne, Bollinger Rosé owes its colour and aromatic intensity to the addition of a red wine sourced from the Poirier Saint-Pierre and Montboeuf plots in Verzenay, farmed to the same exacting standards as the legendary Côte aux Enfants in Aÿ. Approximately 30% of the base wines are fermented in oak casks crafted by the house's own cooper, a process that deepens the complexity and ageing potential of the cuvée.

Bollinger

About this house

Founded in 1829 in Aÿ, at the heart of the Montagne de Reims, Bollinger is one of the rare great Champagne houses to remain independent and family-owned. With more than 60% of its vineyards in house ownership, its own cooperage, and partial vinification in aged oak casks, the house pursues a resolutely vinous, powerful and exceptionally precise style.

An emblem of classical elegance and artisanal rigour, Bollinger is the only Champagne house to have kept its cooperage in active operation, ensuring a continuity of style that lends its cuvées an uncommon complexity and an outstanding capacity for ageing.
