Roundness
A dosage of 8 g/L lends a discreet silkiness without weighing down the whole.
Power
A profile that favours finesse over amplitude, true to the spirit of a Premier Cru.

Terroirs

A blend of Grand Cru parcels from Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger, complemented by Premier Cru fruit from Vertus and Villeneuve-Renneville — four villages on the Côte des Blancs whose Senonian chalk soils impart their distinctive minerality to the Chardonnay.

Cazals

About this house

Founded in 1897 by Ernest Cazals, a cooper from the South of France who married into a Champagne vine-growing family, the house has been built generation after generation around an exceptional terroir: the heart of the Côte des Blancs, in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Claude Cazals, inventor of the gyropalette, left his mark on the history of Champagne viticulture before passing on the torch.

Since 1996, his daughter Delphine has been at the helm, overseeing the estate's 9 hectares of Premier and Grand Cru classified vines. She upholds a house style rooted in precision, minerality and the pure expression of Chardonnay — four generations in the service of a single grape variety, a single terroir.

A flawless performance

I’m honestly blown away by this vintage. It’s round on the palate, with lovely structure. The packaging lives up to the product. The sort of bottle that everyone can agree on.
