The A. Bergère vintages — Plot-specific precision and Chardonnay

The A. Bergère range is divided into three lines. The ‘Iconiques’ includethe Origine Brut (an entry-level wine with a predominance of Chardonnay, ideal with seafood and oysters), the Rosé Brut and the Millésime Brut. The ‘Parcellaires’ range offers greater precision in terms of the specific vineyard site: Blanc de Blancs Solera, Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut (Côte des Blancs), Terres Blanches Brut Nature, Les Vignes de Nuit, Les Peignottes, Les Clos Extra Brut Meunier, Rosé de Saignée and the extremely rare Petit Meslier. The Coteaux Champenois range completes the selection with a red and a white from the village of Fèrebrianges.

A. Bergère — Five generations at the heart of Le Petit Morin

Founded in 1848, the A. Bergère estate has spanned five generations: from Armand to Albert, then André — after whom the estate is named —, right through to Adrien and Annaëlle Bergère, who are now driving its growth. Based in Fèrebrianges, a village in the Marne region off the beaten track of the Champagne routes, the estate has built up a vineyard of 45 hectares across 139 plots between the Petit Morin Valley (35 ha, chalky and flinty soils), the Sézannais and the Côte des Blancs — Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Cramant, Oger and Chouilly.

Adrien Bergère, cellar master, oversees a fully plot-by-plot winemaking process: each batch ferments spontaneously on its native yeasts, without fining or filtration. The blending — carried out blind in May — combines wines aged in stainless steel, barrels and large casks, depending on the cuvée. Around 12 hectares are farmed organically, reflecting a growing commitment to the environment.
