Founded in Reims in 1772, Veuve Clicquot owes its worldwide renown to Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin, who took the helm of the house at the age of 27 and revolutionised Champagne-making by inventing riddling on the pupitre — a technique still in use today.
Its iconic yellow colour, adopted as early as 1876, has become one of the most recognisable visual identities in the world of luxury. Under the stewardship of Didier Mariotti, the 11th chef de caves appointed in 2019, the house upholds an unwavering commitment to consistency and elegance across each of its blends.
