THE CUVÉES OF MAISON LOUIS ROEDERER
A golden robe with luminous highlights, fine and persistent bubbles. On the nose, an immediate vivacity of lemon and grapefruit zest rises above notes of Williams pear and white flowers, underscored by a streak of chalk and a subtle woody touch from partial oak ageing. On the palate, the complete absence of dosage releases a pure, precise acidity, balanced by the velvety texture imparted by six years on the lees; the finish is long, saline, and absolutely crystalline.

A blend of crus drawn from the great appellations of the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, selected from the house's own 240 hectares of vineyards; 31% of the cuvée is aged in oak barrels, without malolactic fermentation, to preserve the natural acidity and mineral character of the 2018 vintage.
Founded in 1776 and remaining family-owned across six generations, Louis Roederer is one of the rare grandes maisons to grow the majority of its grapes on its own estates — over 240 hectares spread between Reims and the Côte des Blancs. This exceptional vertical integration affords complete mastery of quality, from vine to cellar.
Under the stewardship of Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, Chef de Caves since 1999, Roederer has embarked on a gradual conversion to biodynamic farming whilst dramatically reducing inputs. From the iconic Cristal to the experimental cuvées co-created with Philippe Starck, the house today embodies a contemporary and uncompromising vision of terroir-driven champagne.
The saline minerality and zero dosage of this Brut Nature pair beautifully with the briny freshness of oysters.
The wine's citrus notes converse elegantly with gravlax marinated with fresh herbs and citrus.
The structure and length of this champagne are a perfect match for the sweet, pearlescent flesh of lobster.
