Néret-Vély

About this house

Néret-Vély is a family house founded in Vauchamps in 1945. Passed down in 1980 to Carole Néret's parents, it was taken over by her in 2019, following her father Alain — the third generation to head the estate.

Seven hectares of vines spread between Vauchamps, in the south-west of the Marne, and Festigny, on the left bank of the Marne, producing around 40,000 bottles a year. The property is HVE-certified and works according to a sustainable viticulture approach: biodiversity, soil tillage, and sometimes the use of a draught horse in the plots.

The wines are made in stainless steel tanks, with malolactic fermentation and the estate's own indigenous yeasts. Since 2023, the house's labels have been illustrated by Reims-based artist Kevin De Tunne (KTD Art), and the logo features the hillsides and the Marne river.

Food pairing

The perfect pairing

Between the champagne and its dish
Starter

Starter

The delicate flesh of the sea bass and the saline tension of this extra-brut echo each other without either overpowering the other.

Main course

Main course

The wine-like character of Meunier holds its own against mushrooms and cream, and the freshness cleanses the palate with every sip.

Cheese

Cheese

With pressed, aged cheeses, the sapidity of La 5G makes a more fitting counterpoint than a red wine.
