TASTING NOTES
A golden yellow robe with green highlights, animated by fine, persistent bubbles forming a cordon of assured elegance. An expressive nose of white peach, mirabelle plum and lightly buttered brioche, with a vanilla note contributed by the reserve wines. A well-balanced palate: a fresh, citrus-driven attack, an enveloping texture through the mid-palate, and a long, spiced finish with notes of toasted bread.
The composition

Terroirs
An assemblage drawn from 50 to 60 crus across the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne, complemented by 25 to 40% reserve wines that ensure the stylistic consistency of the signature cuvée.
About this house
Founded in 1772 in Reims, Veuve Clicquot owes its worldwide renown to Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin, who took over the house following the death of her husband in 1805 and invented the riddling rack in 1816, revolutionising the clarification of Champagne. The sunshine-yellow label, adopted in 1877, has become one of the most iconic visual codes in the wine world.
Under the direction of Chef de Caves Didier Mariotti since 2015, the house upholds a structured, fruit-driven style, with Pinot Noir as the backbone of all its assemblages. Part of the LVMH group, Veuve Clicquot manages nearly 390 hectares of vineyards in Champagne and is committed to sustainable viticulture across its entire estate.
The perfect pairing
Aperitif
The brioche delicacy and citrus freshness of the Yellow Label pair naturally with the warm, cheesy richness of gougères.
Starter
The white peach notes and bright citrus vivacity of the cuvée marry elegantly with the marine flavours and fresh herbs of gravlax.
Main course
The roundness of the assemblage and its brioche notes resonate perfectly with the delicate umami and creamy texture of morel mushroom risotto.
