About this house
Founded in 1818 in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ by Nicolas François Billecart and Élisabeth Salmon, the house remains one of the rare great family-owned Champagne maisons, led for seven generations by the founders' descendants.
Renowned for the delicacy and precision of its wines, Billecart-Salmon cultivates an elegant, airy style, vinifying at low temperatures to preserve aromatic freshness and purity of fruit.
