The composition

Terroirs
A blend of 100% Pinot Noir drawn from the elevated terroirs of Ludes, Aÿ, Mailly and Ambonnay, chosen for their freshness. Half comes from reserve wines, including 10% from a perpetual reserve of Pinots Noirs begun in 2012 and enriched each year in the manner of a solera.
About this house
Founded in 1868 in Ludes, in the Montagne de Reims, the house of Canard-Duchêne has cultivated for over 150 years a precise, well-bred style, carried by the freshness of its chalk terroirs.
Settled at the heart of its Domaine de Ludes, the house perpetuates a demanding, artisanal know-how, between extended cellar ageing and rigorous selection of parcels, for cuvées of assertive character.
The perfect pairing
Aperitif
The Pinot Noir's vivacity answers the briny texture of seared king prawns.
Starter
The cuvée's fruity roundness sets off the delicacy of monkfish liver.
Main course
The power and length on the palate marry the confit texture of lamb fillet.
