A champagne gift set is the safest gift you can give: it appeals to those who know nothing about it, reassures those who know everything, and asks for nothing in return but a moment to share. The trick is to choose the right gift set. From a simple cardboard box that does nothing to alter the wine, to a designer-branded cooler, an engraved wooden case and an artist’s edition, prices range from €48 to over €1,000. Here are the twenty-nine gift sets available in our cellar, sorted by budget, along with what’s inside and who they’re best suited for.

Under €70: gift sets that delight without breaking the bank
The Piper-Heidsieck Essentiel Blanc de Blancs in a gift box (€48.50) is our entry-level option: a pure Chardonnay enriched with a high proportion of reserve wines, presented in the brand’s signature red box. The Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut GreenBox (€51.90) presents the floral champagne from Épernay — orange blossom, lime blossom, white peach — in an eco-designed box featuring anemones; its sister, the Blanc de Blancs GreenBox (€66), is livelier and more lemony. At Veuve Clicquot, the Brut Carte Jaune is available in five gift sets: the Sun Holder cooler designed by Yinka Ilori (€59.63), in yellow, orange and blue, which keeps the bottle chilled for 90 minutes; the Sun Totem bucket with a handle (€63.08); the Puffy Bottle Holder made from recycled materials (€64.50); the Arrow Reims gift set (€65.90), a metal box shaped like a road sign – the most sought-after collectable; and The Cooler (€68.90), a hard-sided cooler for picnics. Finally, the Henri Giraud Esprit Nature in a limited-edition box set (€62) is the perfect gift for gardeners: a brut nature from Aÿ in a plantable box, filled with seed discs. Our guides ‘Veuve Clicquot: which cuvée to choose’ and ‘Perrier-Jouët’ provide detailed information on the wines.
From €70 to €200: the presentation that makes all the difference
Rosé is the ultimate champagne gift. The Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé GreenBox (€78.80) offers a floral and indulgent rosé in an anemone-themed box; the Sun Holder Rosé (€69.90) and The Cooler Rosé (€71.80) do the same for Veuve Clicquot’s Rosé. Our favourite in this price range: the Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Robe Rubans 2024 (€99), the benchmark macerated rosé since 1968, adorned with a metal gown featuring pink, red, purple and copper ribbons — the limited-edition piece you’ll want to keep even after the bottle is empty. For a large gathering, the Laurent-Perrier Cuvée in a magnum and gift box (€88.80) is the most generous option; our article on magnum bottles of champagne explains why the larger format ages better. Further up the range, the Billecart-Salmon Blanc de Blancs in a magnum and wooden box (€172) and the Ruinart duos: Blanc de Blancs and Rosé (€189), R de Ruinart 2016 and Rosé (€189), or the wooden gift set containing two bottles of Blanc de Blancs (€199). This is the most sought-after champagne gift set in France, and for good reason: Ruinart’s round bottle is recognisable from a distance (see our Ruinart Blanc de Blancs guide).
Over €200: prestige gift sets
The Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 with gift box (€239.90) costs the same as the bottle without the box: the black gift box is included free of charge, so why not choose it as a gift? Our Dom Pérignon guide : which vintage to choose tells you what’s in the glass. The Dom Ruinart Rosé 2009 in a wooden box (€265) is the prestige rosé cuvée from a superb vintage, presented in an individual box. At Laurent-Perrier, the ‘Les 3 savoir-faire’ gift set (€269) brings together, in a wooden case engraved with ‘Cuvée Rosé’, ‘Héritage’ and ‘Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature’ — three bottles, three ways of making champagne; the gift set that encapsulates a house. The three vintage magnums in a wooden case — Brut Millésimé 2006 (€289), 2004 (€299) and 2002 (€319), disgorged in May 2025 after twenty years on the lees — are the ultimate birthday gifts. Finally, Ruinart offers genuine ‘cellar’ sets in wooden crates: the Cave Urbaine featuring three cuvées (€269), a ‘Cave Découverte’ featuring four cuvées, including the R de Ruinart 2016 (€344), a ‘Cave Blanc de Blancs’ comprising four bottles (€484) and ‘L’Intégrale’, a collection of six cuvées, right up to the Dom Ruinart (€975). At the very top of the range is the Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 × Jean-Michel Basquiat: three bottles, three gift sets, three designs (€1,095), for lovers of art as much as of champagne.
Gift set or bare bottle?
The gift set doesn’t alter the wine in any way: it’s the same Dom Pérignon, the same Ruinart. It simply changes the way it’s presented. When giving a gift, opt for the gift set when it’s practically free (Dom Pérignon 2015, Perrier-Jouët GreenBox, Piper-Heidsieck case); choose a practical accessory (Veuve Clicquot coolers, Sun Totem bucket) if the recipient often hosts; opt for the wooden case if the gift is to mark a special occasion. For your own table, a bottle without a gift set is always the best value: most of our cuvées are available in both versions; look for ‘without gift set’ in the catalogue.
The champagne gift set as a corporate gift
For a client or colleague, the gift set must be instantly recognisable and impeccable: a brand everyone knows, a presentation box you won’t be ashamed to display on a desk. The Ruinart duos (€189), the Laurent-Perrier ‘Les 3 savoir-faire’ gift set (€269) and the Caisse Cave Urbaine (€269) are our three sure-fire choices; for a range, the Perrier-Jouët GreenBoxes and the Veuve Clicquot gift sets keep the price per unit between €52 and €70. We issue the invoice in the company’s name, deliver anywhere in France and Europe, and include a printed card with your message in the parcel. Our article on champagne as a corporate gift sets out the customs and tax implications.
Which gift set for which occasion?
Birthday: a vintage that speaks for itself — Dom Pérignon 2015, R de Ruinart 2016, or a magnum of Laurent-Perrier 2002, 2004 or 2006 to mark a milestone year. Weddings: the Ruinart Duo or the Cuvée Rosé wrapped in ribbons for the bride and groom, the Cuvée in a magnum for the table; our wedding champagne page helps you choose the right size. Christmas: the Arrow gift set, the GreenBoxes and the Dom Pérignon gift set are the most popular — see the best champagnes for Christmas. Thank-you gifts, house-warming parties, births: a Veuve Clicquot cooler or the Henri Giraud plantable gift set, which can be kept even after the bottle is empty. In any case, our article on giving champagne as a gift reminds us of the essentials: the message that accompanies the gift matters just as much as the label.
Delivery and packaging
Each gift set is dispatched in a reinforced cardboard box designed for bottles, protected from light and knocks, and arrives ready to be presented. Delivery is free on orders of €300 or more: three GreenBoxes, two Ruinart duos or a single Dom Pérignon Basquiat will do the trick. The prices shown are those in our cellar on the date of publication; limited editions (Robe Rubans, Arrow, Basquiat, vintage magnums) are available in limited quantities and are not restocked.
