The composition

Terroirs
2010 was not an easy year: a cold winter and spring, followed by a hot, dry summer, then heavy rain in mid-August that brought botrytis to the pinot noir. Severe sorting was required. The Dom Pérignon Rosé blends chardonnay and pinot noir, with the latter in the majority, and part of the pinot noir is vinified as red wine, mainly in Aÿ, before being blended with the white wine: 11% in 2010, well below the 28% of 2004 — resulting in a rosé that is more refined than powerful. The wine spent around twelve years in the cellar before its release. This is the same 2010 Rosé as the one in the 2025 Murakami edition, this time dressed by Damien Hirst.
About this house
Since Karl Lagerfeld in 2005, Dom Pérignon has regularly entrusted its bottles to an artist: Jeff Koons, Lenny Kravitz, Lady Gaga, Jean-Michel Basquiat, then Takashi Murakami in 2025. For the 2026 limited edition, it is Damien Hirst. He revisits his Kaleidoscope series, begun in 2001 — butterfly wings arranged in symmetrical patterns — repeating the house's crest in miniature throughout. “Dom Pérignon's coat of arms is symmetrical: it struck me instantly as a butterfly,” he explains.
For the 2010 Rosé, Hirst chose magenta, red and pink, echoing the pinot noir that gives the wine its colour; the pattern runs across the bottle and the case, and the black collar bears his signature. A fifteen-year-old millésimé rosé, in the autumn 2026 limited edition.
The perfect pairing
Aperitif
Raw fish, as recommended by the house: the iodised bitterness and saline finish of the rosé complement the delicate flesh of sea bass.
Starter
The iodised pairing recommended for this vintage: the density of the rosé envelops the oyster, its salinity extends it.
Main course
Duck, paired with this rosé by Gault&Millau: the red berries and cardamom of the wine marry the spices and pink flesh.
